In today’s VUCA world, leadership is an essential aspect of personal, social and professional life. And it is the driving force behind real collaboration, innovation, and positive change which engenders meaningful impact. Approaching leadership roles with coherence and authenticity is foundational to happiness and wellbeing.
Leadership can be learned and developed. Anyone can enter the leadership development pipeline starting from leading self and influencing others (unofficial leadership), to leading teams, leading leaders, institution, organization and business (official leadership).
In this Leadership Pipeline session, a seasoned executive and professional leadership coach will host a fireside chat with two honored guests.
The Director of Schwarzman Scholars’ Global Alumni Network and Professional Development will share how leadership is cultivated within a multi-disciplinary group of high potential young leaders who possess disparate viewpoints on global challenges, both during their time as students at Tsinghua University and within their international professional pursuits. She will also discuss why knowing your values, skills, and strengths enable you to lead in a way that is authentic.
The current Zoom CTO and former Microsoft AI CTO will share his leadership insights gained directly from moving up the pipeline within major technology companies to become a C-suite leader. We will also tap into his experience working directly with some of the world’s most recognized and influential leaders.

史月波
史月波，清华化学系84级校友，目前专注于高管教练、领导力培养和高绩效团队教练，她的学员来自高科技、医疗、环保、能源、化工、咨询、 高等院校，美国政府和非营利机构。她同时也在Rice University领导人学院和商学院做领导力和团队教练。
进入教练领域前，史月波曾担任世界五百强贝克休斯公司的许多高管职务，包括全球供应链材料副总裁，俄罗斯及中亚地区副总裁，也曾领导过公司的全球战略，并购，市场和业务发展，产品开发，技术应用和运营等。她还获得杜克大学MBA学位, 国际教练联合会专业认证教练，情商和系统团队教练认证。
Sincia Yuebo Shi currently focus on executive coaching, leadership development, and high performance team coaching. Her clients come from various sectors, including high-tech, healthcare, environmental, energy, chemicals, consulting, higher education, the U.S. government, and non-profit organizations. She also serves as a leadership and team coach at the Leadership Institute and Business School at Rice University.
Before entering the coaching field, she held several executive positions at the Fortune 500 company Baker Hughes, including Vice President of Global Supply Chain Materials, Vice President of Russia and Caspian Region, and led global strategies, acquisitions & divestitures, marketing and business development, product development, applications engineerings, and operations.
She holds a BS from Tsinghua University and an MBA from Duke University. Sincia is a professionally certified coach by the International Coach Federation, and is certified in Emotional Intelligence and Systemic Team Coaching.
黄学东
黄学东是Zoom的全球首席技术官，负责领导公司在人工智能领域的战略和服务。黄学东是知名的技术领袖，美国工程院和美国艺术与科学学院的两院当选院士，他在将语音识别和人工智能带入全球大众市场方面发挥了重要作用。

Xuedong (X.D.) Huang is the Global Chief Technology Officer at Zoom, where he leads the company's AI strategy and services. Xuedong is a renowned technology leader, an elected member of both the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has played a key role in bringing speech recognition and AI to the global mass market.
Before joining Zoom, Xuedong held several positions at Microsoft, including Azure AI CTO, Technical Fellow, and Corporate Vice President. In 1993, he founded Microsoft’s speech technology team and led the company’s AI teams to achieve numerous groundbreaking milestones in speech recognition, machine translation, natural language understanding, and computer vision. He is a recognized leader and inventor with over 170 U.S. patents, and the co-author of a widely used textbook on spoken language processing.
Xuedong received his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 1989, his M.S. from Tsinghua University in 1984, and his B.S. from Hunan University in 1982. He received the IEEE Bose Industrial Leader Award in 2023 and the 2022 Asian American Business Leader Award from Wired magazine.
Xuedong is passionate about advancing AI and empowering people to communicate and collaborate more effectively.
朱莉娅·祖普科（Julia Zupko）
朱莉娅·祖普科（Julia Zupko）现任清华大学苏世民书院全球校友网络与职业发展事务主任。在此职位上，祖普科女士致力于将商业、学术及政府等各界人士与苏世民学者建立联系。这些学者在其个人、职业及学术发展过程中始终秉持全球领导力的理念。她还负责为全球苏世民学者提供广泛的项目后职业发展支持。
在担任现职之前，祖普科女士曾任耶鲁大学管理学院职业发展事务助理院长，主导全球雇主、学生及校友的战略性互动与合作，并推动多项职业管理项目、市场推广、传播及技术相关的改革与创新。在此之前，她还在芝加哥大学布斯商学院职业服务团队工作了十年，负责该校芝加哥、伦敦和新加坡校区的职业管理运营，为全日制、夜校、周末、EMBA 及校友 MBA 项目提供服务。在从事职业服务工作之前，祖普科女士曾是 Tucker Alan Inc. 公司医疗健康业务部门的高级顾问，主要从事州政府医疗补助（Medicaid）运作、医疗欺诈及滥用问题的研究与咨询。

Julia Zupko is Director of the Global Alumni Network and Professional Development for Schwarzman Scholars. In this capacity Ms. Zupko connects the business, academic, and government communities across all sectors and geographies with Scholars for whom a global leadership mindset has been at the forefront of their personal, professional and academic experiences. She also leads professional development programming for the broad-based post-program endeavors of Scholars globally.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Zupko was the Assistant Dean of Career Development for the Yale School of Management, leading the strategic global engagement of employers, students, and alumni. She implemented myriad career management programming, marketing, communications and technology initiatives. Ms. Zupko was also a member of the Career Services team at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business for ten years; she directed career management operations for the school’s Chicago, London, and Singapore campuses encompassing Chicago Booth’s full-time, evening, weekend, executive and alumni MBA populations. Prior to her work in Career Services, Ms. Zupko was a Senior Consultant in the healthcare practice for Tucker Alan Inc, where her work focused on state Medicaid operations and health care fraud and abuse issues.
Ms. Zupko earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Ms. Zupko is an engaged member of many organizations, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Eleanor Foundation and the MBA Career Services and Employer Alliance, an international professional association.
